Welcome

Frythens Cottages are our beautifully restored self catering holiday cottages, situated in stunning Cornish countryside near Hayle and Marazion.

Formerly farm buildings, our 4 unique Barns sleep between 2 and 5 guests and  provide the perfect home from home to give guests a comfortable and memorable stay.

Our cottages are the ideal base for exploring all that Cornwall has to offer. Being close to both the North and South coasts, the bustling town of St Ives and the rugged, dramatic scenery of West Cornwall, there's plenty to see and do on your Cornish holiday.

Or if you prefer a more relaxed break, why not just sit back and enjoy the countryside.

We look forward to welcoming you to our holiday cottages soon,

Richard and Melanie

Location and Things To Do

Conveniently located just a 5 minute drive from the A30 and St Erth train station, Frythens
Cottages are a central base for exploring West Cornwall.

If you’re coming to Cornwall to enjoy the seaside then you’ll be spoilt for choice between the
North and South coasts with several sandy beaches within a 10 minute drive, Marazion, Hayle, Perranuthnoe and Praa Sands to get you started!
The ancient market town of Marazion with St Michael’s Mount is under 4 miles away. Boasting a
long sandy beach and breathtaking views, it’s a must visit during your stay.
St Ives is easily accessible and definitely worth taking the short train journey via the branch
line from St Erth Station (a 5 minute drive away), taking in the fantastic views across Hayle’s
3 miles of golden sands along the way. When you’re there you can enjoy the many art
galleries and shops as well as take in the sea air or book a trip on one of the sightseeing
boats from the harbour.
Other popular places nearby include Land’s End, Porthcurno, The Minack Theatre and
Penzance to name but a few.

If you fancy venturing a bit further then Kynance Cove on the Lizard Peninsula is definitely recommended, as are the maritime town of Falmouth and the cathedral city of Truro and there's always the Eden Project or even the Isles of Scilly!

How to find us..

Heading West bound on the A30, at the St Erth roundabout take the first left signposted
Penzance. At the traffic lights, take the left turn and follow the road past the train station for
about a mile. At the mini roundabout, turn right and follow the road for about another mile. Take
the left turn called Long Lane and signposted for St Hilary. Continue for another mile and
Frythens, 8 Long Lanes, St Erth, Hayle, TR27 6JZ is on your right hand side at the bottom of the
hill.
There are quite a few properties along the road with the same postcode so it may be better to
